I deleted it, it was sum art babble my prof helped me write.

here is a first draft. Second had sum stuff about representationalism, and stuff my prof added. P.s. i am changeing the name lol!

Description of your art piece: *
This piece with a working title of Notta Lotta is an installation comprised of 3 major components.
The first is a Swinging Couch Potato, the second a Video false-rock and the third a mannequin calavera and or calavera players.
The Calavera mannequin simply sits in front of the video screen while it plays a repeating series of video game clips and shots of overweight adults and children and corresponding video game sound effects. Using the audio and video components of the piece to in effect connect the different components of the space together in a surreal representation of my vision of the world and lifestyle so many men women and children now consider to be the core of their existence.
I believe having living players alternately used in the piece with mannequins enhances the idea and feeling that while they are indeed possible of movement they remain like sculpture and sedentary in nature, and leaving the passer by to be forced to stop and figure out the difference between the mannequins and human players. The players effectively becoming just another set of mannequins in the work and the characters they represent seeming to believe they are radically moving and doing the actions they see on the screen but in reality are rather stationary and in reality doing nothing. At times even leaving the confines of the space and joining the onlookers to view the piece themselves and critique the work in pre-scripted comments and responses to common questions posed to them about the piece and their connection to it. This hopefully will in effect cause the viewer to reconsider their own role as viewer and effectually coerce them into becomeing part of the piece themselves.

Artist Biography (limited to one paragraph please)
Eliazar Talavera is a chicano artist born in San Francisco and raised all over California until he moved to Whittier where he has lived since the age of 12. He is currently attending CSULA as an art history major with emphasis on sculpture. He also has worked extensively in Black and white photography and film.

lol, when LIB was here I know about 30 people that sent them emails and letters to set shit up and not one of us heard back from them.

which was pretty fail considering all most of us that wrote wanted to do was set up an area for SB artists and DJs and stuff. The people from here that did get to set up know them personally or whatever. But alot of us were set to do our own little thing and nothing, not one reply. Then we got told by another SB head that was setting up there that there was "no music" or "unauthorised art intstalls"..
Then we fucking get there and every other camp had music and art stuff.
